A dilemma presents itself for some people in their spiritual lives. Do we volunteer and choose how we serve God? Or are we volunteered, chosen by God for specific service? Understanding how choosing to serve God and being chosen by God to serve is lived out in our daily lives is essential to our spiritual health and maturity.

Most world religions believe in some concept of God, some great power and strength which exceeds human lives. However, in many of the world’s religions, the concept of a god is removed from the day-to-day lives of ordinary human beings. In fact, the purpose of life is to search for this elusive god.
