On September 6, we will kick off our Fall worship series, “Nehemiah: Remnant People, Faithful God.” After the city of Jerusalem was conquered by the Babylonians, the wall of Jerusalem was broken down and its gates were destroyed by fire, and the people lived many years in squalor and disgrace. Years later, Nehemiah was stirred by faith and by his trust in God to be a part of God’s instrument to rebuild the wall of Jerusalem. In Nehemiah’s day, the people of God rose up and turned their crumbled city into one of strength, health, and dignity. God wants to use each of us to make a difference in the problems around us.
