On World Communion Sunday, we wrapped up our “Finding Our Way” worship series by looking at the harvest God expects. We were created by God for a purpose. God gives us life, graces us with certain gifts, watches over us, hears our prayers, blesses us with the church, the gospel, and the Holy Spirit. God even takes the muck and mire in our lives and turns it into nutrients to help us grow. God does all of this because it is God’s nature to create and to love. But God also has expectations for a harvest.

Jessu explains the harvest God expects with two commandments. He says that this is what God expects. Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength and love your neighbor as yourself. This is the mission of all Christ followers.
