Today’s message is kind of a “meanwhile in another part of the New Testament world this was happening.” It has a slight connection to Paul, because it begins when Paul as Saul began persecuting the early church.
Today, we are looking at Philip, a Greek speaking Jewish Christian who was among the 7 men appointed by the disciples to fairly distribute food among those in need. Basically, Philip waited on tables and made sure everyone got their share.
But this busboy became an evangelist, healer, Bible teacher, and baptizer. Philip’s story reminds us that service whether great or small when done in the name of Christ can have a profound impact that we may never realize.
